Scooting

There is some debate between me and Erik as to what exactly constitutes crawling. I say the belly has to be off the ground, Erik says it's official with forward propelling arm and leg movement. Regardless of what we call it, if given enough time, Evie will get there. She is beginning to coordinate her arms and legs and lift her bottom, but still keeps her belly on the ground. She can also lift both arms and legs off the ground at the same time. This also means that she can reach formerly unattainable heights. And so, baby proofing has begun.

  1. She is the picture of determination! I'm with you on the crawling definition, however, it doesn't matter how she gets around, as long as she gets around...which she definitely does! It's interesting to watch Evie's progress, since she's almost exactly one year younger than Will. And exactly this time a year ago, he was starting to get up on hands and knees and rock back and forth...and within weeks, he was off and crawling! Looks like it's right around the corner for Evie, too.
