Pointing and Clapping

Evie clapped for the first time yesterday during one of our less successful attempts to feed her sweet potatoes. She was trying to grab the spoon and managed to clap her hands. But tonight in the tub she started clapping with a big smile on her face. Erik and I followed by clapping and she mimicked us with her new found motor skill.

Evie has also started to point at the pictures in her books and turn the pages when we are reading to her. Currently her favorite book is a short read about Bambi. One evening while Erik was reading to her, she said what sounded like "be-be", and we of course believe she was saying "Bambi". She has done this a few times now. She has also begun to look at what I'm pointing at instead of just looking at my hand.
