Evie's 1st Birthday

It's amazing how fast a year can go by. Suddenly we realize that Evie is no longer a baby but a toddler.

To mark the day, Evie and I switched up our routine and went to the Children's Museum in Lafayette. She had a great time exploring and took in all the exhibits. The museum was designed for bigger kids, but she didn't let that slow her down. Because I was chasing after her the whole time, I didn't get a single picture while we were there.

We celebrated Evie's 1st birthday with cupcakes, balloons, and presents. She tore up the cupcake (and even shared some with us) before turning her attention to her presents. Thanks to everyone who remembered her birthday and helped make it special. We had a lot of fun, though Mom and Dad pulled a rookie mistake and failed to assemble one of her presents ahead of time. But she waited patiently (not really, but she had plenty of new things to play with anyway). We're blessed to have a happy and healthy 1 year old and all of the love and support from all of our family and friends.

  1. Is that one of those loud ball popper things? Will has one of those at my parents' house, and it has always been a hit! You may have to eventually take out the batteries for a while, though. ;)

P.S. Thanks for Will's present! He loves it. :) Cars and "big trucks" are very popular right now.
