Evie got a couple of balloons for her birthday last month with only passing interest in them. Out of nowhere, the last remaining balloon became the center of her world. It could only be described as an unnatural attachment. Regardless of what she was doing, one hand had to be grasping the balloon. Her refusal to let go led to a number of avoidable tumbles and frustration at the added difficulty to do all that she wanted with only one available hand. She took this balloon with her everywhere we went this last week, the car dealership, 2 different parks, the pool, grocery store, every car ride, she even held it through her naps. After several stressful clothing changes and loadings in and out of the car seat, she learned to transfer the balloon from one hand to the other with out putting up a fight. After a solid week of this, the balloon has gone flat and finally lost its appeal. Hallelujah.

This is too funny!!! Love it!
