Peltz Family: Part 2

The last night of our 5 city tour was spent with my brother Al and his family in Thornton. We were pretty exhausted by this time and spent much of the day catching up, playing with Taylor and Madison and watching the Rockies win in extra innings.

Evie started to develop a bit of "stranger danger" shortly before our trip. So I was surprised when she gladly sat with all 3 of my brothers during the course of our travels. She was especially comfortable with Al.

Taylor had a real knack for getting Evie to laugh.

Madison has a fantastic imagination. She spent the afternoon telling stories about her kingdom.

It was the 4th of July and we had tickets to a pro soccer match. Unfortunately, a wild thunderstorm poured rain for the duration of the match and we were only in our seats for about 2 minutes. With the kids in tow, we waited out the game and the storm under the shelter of the stands. Despite not getting to watch the game, we were able to see a good portion of the fireworks display that followed. Surprisingly, Evie was wide awake during the rain-out but fell fast asleep once the booming fireworks started. Not even the 1812 Overture roused her from her slumber.
